"What if Barbie doesn't even attend?!" 2010 Fall/Spring Fashion Week

Aah... just what I've been waiting on :] the fall/spring 2010 Mercedes Benz Fashion Week. For those of you who don't know, fashion week is an invitation only event that last a week. Where a bunch of designers come together twice a year (spring and fall) to show off their latest collections. Shows are attended by journalists, editors, celebs, buyers and social types. Some designers who will be showing off their new designs and trends for fall are Anna Sui, Charlotte Ronson, Calvin Klein, Badgley Mischka and many more. The shows are held in Berlin, New York, Miami, and this summer Atlanta :]below are just a few of the trends from the fall/spring collections...
Fall/Winter 2010 Fashion trends

Experts say this coming fall and winter will be all about strong silhouettes and sophisticated glamour. However, 80s disco style and bold looks will anyway find their own place in your wardrobe if you want to follow the fashion tendencies in full. It’s like all about girl power!
1.Go Fancy.
Footwear goes surreal this coming season. The more extravagance and crazy you look the better. Opt for dramatic designs and exaggerated heels. Hardware embellishment is really hot, too.
2.Chain it!

Chain bags that are influenced by the Chanel 2.55 bag are so in vogue for fall and winter 2009 - 2010. Chain strap bags can be worn as lovely clutches and across-body style. Just like with the heels, metal embellishment is really huge for bags, too.
3.Big time.
No need to restrain yourself from getting extra large with accessories. Go oversized with chains and studs and jewelry and dramatic silhouettes. Thinking huge chunky rings and cuffs and leather bracelets.
Spring 2010 Fashion Trends

1.Tresse swimsuits.

When I saw these bathing suits the first thing I thought about was pairing it with shorts or a flared mini skirt and super cute wedges. Usually itty bitty bikini's are the "it" thing but I really think the pin up look of one peices and sweetheart necklines are coming back.
2.Baby got back!

Whether it was cut-outs on the backs of dresses at Max Axria, "vertebrae" running up the backs of dresses at Chado Ralph Rucci, or naked zippers at Thuy, the back was big this fashion week as designers did all they could to make editors, buyers, and ultimately customers, take a second look.
3.L7 [square frames]

For spring/summer '09, round sunglasses broke through as a hot sunglass trend, but the cool, oversized square frame shades Cynthia Rowley accessorized her spring '10 line with may flip that trend. You might've noticed Beyonce' wearing the frames in her "Diva" video
